find Amidst the noise and the uneasy silence of life-in-motion, it's important to be a finder.  The little of us, gathered & piled, are the reminders so often we need to find center in His BIG.  Little is the best hider, you know.  She's teensy enough to burrow inside hurt and just quiet enough to sit crooked in the corners of busy too.

One who collects simple.  That's what I am striving  to be. It's difficult to keep the lenses of life clear when so much around us is just meant to fog & scratch. To make hazy our days and leave us numb to moments of absolute spectacular just over there in tiny view.

But, on this particular Fall day, I will remember finding her.  She was lodged between hurry up and we.might.be.late.  You know the thing I am working so very diligently on eradicating from my life?  Little tucked herself inside a drive to drop-off the boys Friday afternoon.  Our car was heavy laden with evidence of school-in-transit and lunches half eaten on highway marked wheels.

Whirling into the parking lot, she jumped out at me with a such a pleasant harvest surprise. Little smiled.  Her rays of golden warmth were like an old friend wrapping arms restfully & kind around my hustle.  My right foot found the break pedal with ease.

Little emerged even clearer into our view.  Like a school girl, her long lanky legs climbed down out of autumn unfolding like a well loved accordion.  The melody was sweet and so beautiful.

My boys and me waved hello to little as she sparkled & shined her hellos to us just the same.  And with a humble request, I asked that we capture her for just a little longer.  Snap.  She didn't mind at all.

It is this Friday afternoon in full swing that I want to remember there in her image the smallness of gratitude.  Of  safe keeping.  Of health.  Of growing boys.  And the power of prayer.

Amidst the noise and the uneasy silence of life-in-motion, it's important to be a finder.  That's what I am striving to be.  Thank you, Little, for the big I find in you the more I seek.
