Let's make 2 things clear here on this day o'cheap.

  1. I don't wear heels everyday. Do I think about wearing heels every day?  Not really.
  2. But if I did, you can bet your bottom dollar it would be these leopard print neon orange trimmed bad boys that would be up on my feetsies.

My daily wardrobe consists mostly of Kenny's old sweatsuits from college {The fact that I just said sweatsuits brings this post to an entirely new level of timestamp.}

The word sweatsuit denotes that the top and bottom actually match, thus creating a pair.  And, well, Kenny's do.  And I have about a four "suit" rotation for the cooler months.  Dry rot-shmyrot. Ain't nothin a niece piece of elastic worn OVERTOP your waistline can't remedy.  You see, I'm a thinker.  It's like a multi-purpose portable waistline.  Whoop there it is.  {timestamp}. I digress.

There's this part of me that remembers professional.  When sliding into an ensemble like you see above, it's like I'm smacking the cobwebs out of the corners of the public Monday-Friday portion of me.  Those silky strings are flingy.  And my sporadic energy swatting sends them swirling about.

Webby strands catch in my hair and ghostlike on my skin.  I'm immediately wafted into a heebie jeebie get-off-me-now shaking motion.  I can't find them on my person yet they are sticking to me like those dang static filled slips my Mom made me wear when I was little.

It's only when I remind myself that breathing actually does promote and sustain life that my insides climb down off of my outs.  I regain what's that word? Oh yes.  That would be composure and I remember a bit how it feels to walk inside the steps that God equally ordained for me outside of my home of school.

And then while I'm at it, I decide to straighten a few chairs and pictures hanging there in this public space of me.  All in gingham because, you know, gingham is completely a spring print necessity right now.  Just check this WVLT television segment I did . There.  The one collar up-one collar down great gingham OZ has spoken.

And I remind myself that there's a season for sweatsuits and a season for leopard print neon orange trimmed heels by BCBG for $7.00 clearance at Marshall's.  And that my timestamp isn't really the whoop that it is.  And maybe, just maybe, heebie jeebie ghostlike silk whispies are good to walk through every now and again. First the hair.  You never know what will be next.
