The Dragon Called Time

The dragon breathes his fire at me now it seems more than ever.  Flames of fast only to watch blue fiery embers of "how did yesterday become last year already" fall from our family's time here together on earth.  My shield of memories recorded here and now and however will help me lure the scaly one out from under those clothes that have yet to be cleaned out. I hope your shield will too.

she listened

I knew a lady once.  She was what I would imagine most angels would be like.  Kind, caring, generous, thoughtful, driven, wise, and INVESTED.  Invested in others. Intentionally invested in her family. Intentionally there making the one she was with at any particular time seem as if they were the most important person in the world to her.  She simply had a way of welcoming you in and giving you value when you struggled to see that you had any.  She saw through the struggles of childhood, through the struggles of a broken and pieced back together family, through any obstacle it seemed you may be facing.

wonderfully fearful

It’s quite simple.  My story is completely wrapped around a beautiful love.  After many heart breaks and bittersweet loss, his proclamation of love was my only redemption.  I stopped searching for it.  I stopped trying to get attention for it. I stopped seeking comfort from those that couldn’t give it.  What I found in that place was a tremendous peace and faith. I remain wonderfully fearful of his works in my life.

lessons learned

It’s been over 20 years and I have an even bigger appreciation for my parents now that I am married and have 2 kids. We all are doing the best we can, aren’t we? Life can be tough sometimes, but through that toughness, what lessons are YOU learning? What kind of lessons did you learn from your parents?

Monkey Business

Yet lately, I’ve been doing business with the monkey. The Lord has been whispering into my heart that the monkey’s standard is not His standard.  I’m not called to earn my place by demonstrating my worthiness. My job is to play MY note. My note is an important part of the symphony of life, yet I can’t possibly play all of the instruments.  Leave those notes to the people who have been assigned to play them.  Things will sound infinitely better that way.

because of you

We become who we are because of the passions we hold and the people who believe (and sometimes those who don't believe) in those passions.  Those people help ignite the spark that takes your passions from a flame to a fire and they push you to become greater than you had ever been before.  Dance is my passion.

My Life Story: 6 words at a time.

I am here for a reason and my story is unfinished. This beautiful season that I am currently in at this point of my life is my favorite one yet. My goal is to live hard for the rest of my time here on earth. I’m no longer going to be committed to other’s opinions of me. I’m going to take more risks and get out of my comfort zone.

My story now? I’m totally in love with this season of my life.  A lot of routine and rhythm, but also many new adventures on the horizon! I’ve done a truck load of healing from the past, made great strides with my anxiety disorder and learned to let God be the boss of me.

These collected images are my story.  They are the one dimensional representation of my life.  I am movement & energy.  My life breathes out a screenplay script scribbled full of scenes fueled by nothing more than the devout passion to create and a holy hope to connect.
